Lime and Coconut . . . a winning combination for these last days of summer! Our delicious “Luscious Lime'“ candle pairs well with this refreshing coconut lime margarita! YUM!
Seems ‘Back to School’ (which usually equates to the end of summer) comes so early these days, and yet those sunny days and warm summer nights continue on! Hopefully we can all stretch out the lazy days of summer a tad bit longer! Can we please squeeze a little more vacation time in before summer really ends? Doesn’t Fall actually come in late September? Maybe this refreshing combo will keep us all in summer vacation mode for just a bit longer?
So many of our customers have told us our candles smell so good that they can almost taste them! Although we don’t recommend eating our delicious hand-poured soy candles, we thought it might be fun to pair our candles with some scrumptious recipes! Since we are featuring our “Luscious Lime” candle during the month of August, we decided to pair it with an refreshing coconut lime margarita!
YUP! Definitely immediate vacation vibes!
So, here’s the super simple recipe! (We doubled the recipe below and made a pitcher of margs to share - dockside of course!)
CANDLE + COCKTAIL PAIRING
‘LUSCIOUS LIME’ CANDLE + COCONUT LIME MARGARITAS
RECIPE - SERVES TWO
4 OZ. CREAM OF COCONUT
3 OZ. BLANCO TEQUILA
2 OZ. FRESH LIME JUICE
1 OZ. COINTREAU
0.5 OZ. SIMPLE SYRUP
FRESH LIME ZEST & KOSHER SALT
LIME WEDGES
POUR FIRST FIVE INGREDIENTS INTO A BLENDER, ADD ICE & BLEND!
POUR INTO GLASS RIMMED WITH LIME ZEST + KOSHER SALT
GARNISH WITH FRESH LIME WEDGE
Hmm — now we are not quite sure which is the BEST idea . . . enjoying this yummy ‘candle + cocktail pairing’ while remodeling our bathroom or hopping on a paddle board for a little lake time fun?
Both ideas comes with a little risk . . . yikes! Maybe play it safe and just grab your drink and your candle . . . put your feet up and simply enjoy these last days of summer with a little coconut + lime combo to fill your senses?
