The celebration covers San Carlos Avenue between Laurel Street and Elm and down Laurel Street from San Carlos Avenue all the way to Arroyo. Find 225 quality artists, crafters and specialty food vendors presenting their beautiful handcrafted works for fairegoers. There will be a treasure trove of ceramics, paintings, photography, wood working, wearables and so much more! FOOD, BBQ, FISHES, BEER, WINE, LOCAL ENTERTAINMENT, & ACTIVITIES FOR THE KIDDOS.

Here are some fun facts about the Salmon Days Festival and the fish we adore:

  • In 1970, the Issaquah Chamber of Commerce presented the first Salmon Days festival.

  • The event grew out of the desire to replace the once-popular Labor Day celebration, as well as a need to celebrate one of Issaquah?s greatest treasures ? the annual return of the salmon.

  • In the beginning, the festival attractions included the Kiwanis Salmon BBQ, salmon hatchery displays, an art show, children?s parade led by the late J.P. Patches, Little League football games at Veterans Memorial Field, fire crew competitions, and more.

  • In 1980 the Salmon Days Festival and Grande Parade underwent two major changes that have been credited with altering the course of the festival: Salmon Days became a Seafair-sanctioned event and a festival float was created again.

  • To aid the growth process, merchandise was introduced, the first paid festival director was hired and large ohfishal spawnsors came on board in the ?80s.

  • ​Today, Salmon Days is still presented by the Greater Issaquah Chamber of Commerce with the goal of providing a community celebration focused on honoring the miraculous return of the salmon.

The Bella Vista Arts and Crafts Fair is an annual event and boasts an average 200 vendors and a variety of food and drink vendors. All crafters are vetted and bring only handmade items from the following categories: paper, glass, leather, wood, metal, knitted, sewn, floral, ceramics, jewelry, candles, photography, and so much more! Our own talented students provide a Kids Corner for our youngest visitors.

Live DJ and lots of food options!

The purpose of the Bella Vista Arts & Crafts Fair is to raise funds for the PTSA. Since 1983 this event has been run by parent volunteers who devote hundreds of combined hours to raise money that benefits the general student population at Bella Vista High School. For example, each year the PTSA encourages students to participate in Reflections, a nationwide PTA arts recognition and achievement program for students. The BV PTSA awards several scholarships to graduating seniors, has provided funding for Special Education, Moot Court, AcaDeca, Link Crew, and many other student groups. Campus Beautification contributions have included landscaping plants and benches. And, let's not forget, the annual Teachers and Staff Appreciation Day. The goal is to ensure that all Bella Vista students benefit from the efforts put forth in this one fundraiser.

This two-day event features over 400 vendors: Arts & Crafts, Activity and Food. Plus, the original Saturday night Dinner & Dance which was established in 1919. This notable event draws thousands of people to the small Town of Genoa over a two-day period.

The Faire is open to visitors from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday.

The Lafayette Art & Wine Festival is perhaps the largest annual festival in Contra Costa County. In 2024, over 85,000 people strolled among the booths of art and handmade crafts, enjoying foods from our local restaurants, food vendors and food trucks as well as quality wines and microbrews, pausing to enjoy continuous music from our four stages.

Fine arts and crafts have always been a prominent feature of the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival.

The event typically offers a wide range of arts and crafts categories including paintings, sculpture, ceramics, photography, jewelry, furniture, clothing, woodworking, fabric art, soaps, mosaic art, pottery, metal art and signage and much, much more. This year over 200 art and craft booths will be throughout the Lafayette Art & Wine Festival, mainly along Mt. Diablo Blvd.

Glasses (wine/beer) and Drink Tickets are sold throughout the festival. Look for ticket booths. Combination packages available with big discounts. Only the current year's glasses and tickets are accepted. You MUST BE 21 years of age to purchase glasses, drink tickets and be served! See Food & Drink

➡ Park in designated spots only. Do not park in private parking lots. DO NOT LEAVE VALUABLES IN YOUR CAR! The best place to park is at BART or in a City of Lafayette public parking lot. Insider tip: Park at a BART station other than Lafayette and take BART to the Lafayette Station! The festival is just steps from the south exit!
